Starting from the basic connotations and era characteristics of new qualitative productivity, Vice President ZENG Fang deeply analyzed the new requirements it poses for the cultivation of talent in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), in line with the unique features and practical realities of TCM education at the university. She emphasized that new qualitative productivity is not only a strategic choice for China to achieve Chinese-style modernization but also a crucial driving force and key breakthrough for the inheritance, innovation, and development of TCM. TCM higher education must align closely with the goals of constructing "new medical sciences," aiming to meet the development requirements of new qualitative productivity, the needs for the inheritance and innovative development of TCM, and the demands for promoting health throughout the entire life cycle. The goal is to cultivate outstanding talents with profound cultural knowledge, solid professional skills, diverse disciplinary knowledge, outstanding innovative abilities, and a broad international perspective. In discussing how to advance the innovative development of TCM talent cultivation, Vice President ZENG proposed a three-dimensional approach: balancing humanities and technology, preserving tradition while innovating, and integrating local and international perspectives. She pointed out that these three dimensions are the essence of TCM education and the key to cultivating new qualitative talents. Faculty and students should deeply understand these dimensions and integrate them throughout the entire education and teaching process, continuously improving the quality and level of TCM talent cultivation.

The CDUTCM-Keele Joint Health and Medical Sciences Institute will take this Party lecture as an opportunity to continue deepening educational ideology reforms, strengthening faculty development, optimizing curriculum design and teaching methods, and continuously enhancing the quality and level of TCM talent cultivation. Additionally, the institute will actively explore new avenues and models for international cooperation and exchange in TCM, promoting the global development of TCM to serve the health of all humanity.
